Am taking delivery soon (I hope) of a Jap WRX which will no doubt have no alarm fitted and needs a cat 1 for Insurance co : what sort of price am I looking at to get one fitted (Edinburgh area) : previously had a Meta microwave alarm on a Crx which behaved itself pretty well but these aren't mentioned much on here.
Recommendations for alarm/fitter ?

CAT 1 is a must really you would be better going for the best value cat1 and going for some sort of tracking device as well rather than spending everything on a really flash alarm. A lot of insurance companies will not entertain you without a tracker but dont care tha much about the alarm as long as it is cat 1

I've currently got a Golf GTi 16v. Got a Meta Aquilla M99-36T 2 Thatcham Cat 1 fitted at a VSIB Approves Dealer in Haddington.
Can't fault the Alarm and as for the fitting and back up, very professional.

I know its a long way but doctor clifford will fit you a cat 1 @ 185 plus a tracker monitor @ 350. Thats some saving. His number is 0121 359 1617(Birmingham).
