Looking at getting a scooby(99 or 2000), just wondering if there is anywhere in my area that is cheaper than the main Subaru dealer near me.

Don't go to deer leap in MK. Not very nice people.

Oakley are ok.

I'll second RGS at Wellingborough.

Tey've done my import suspension and clutch and seem pretty switched on about Scoobs, even thought they deal with a big range of cars and bikes.

I use Dave at Riborough 4x4 and have done for years. Handles everything from a service to complete engine rebuilds to one off engineering jobs. Trained by Subaru and has a select monitor and delta dash. 01844 274652

I have to disagree with flatfour0, Dearleep in MK have done the best servicing on my car that I've seen in years. The attention to detail was better than me doing it (I'm quite fastidious).

But this won't help the original question as DL are not the cheapest. I've heard good things about Dave at Risborough.

My MY01 is being serviced at Oakley today. I have used them before and have been happy.

I bought my car from Oakley and have had nothing but exceptional service from Brian and the crew there. A very friendly outfit, always a service with a smile and customers leaving with a smile too. Never found them expensive, but to be honest I've not compared with any other Subaru dealer as I've had no need too.

They are a little out in the stick, but worth the journey and some of the lanes are fun :D:D

On DL - I had them supply me a car and it was fitted with morrette headlights - the installation was shocking - bits of rubber sticking out everywhere.

I had to go back and they re-did the job - I ended up taking the mechanic out onto the forcourt and pointing at another car saying "make it like this".

Having said that all is fine now, they did my 1k service without any issue.

Their location is a problem for me and adams is easier.

Deerleaps servicing may be ok. Its the rest of there staff i don't like.
If you had just spent £27000 on a new car. You would think they would treat you a bit better.
I did not like after sale service.RUDE
But i took my last car to oakley and found them very nice. And will be taking this one there for my 10000mile service.

Is there a connection between Adams of Aylesbury and Dear Leap?

Adams have always treated me well.

I'm getting my new car from Oakley next week.

The Sales Manager wasn't in on the day I went to see them for a chat. Some guy in Accounts looked at my car, and let me have a test drive of their 03 WRX too. :) Have been very good so far.

Deer Leap, went to them first. Never called me back about PX price for my current car, despite me calling them next day! Was not amused by that at all. Either they didn't want my business, or thought I could never afford an STI8.

Have also heard that DL in MK might not be around soon. 2 dealers told me this. Maybe that was why they didn't want any new business.

Just bought my new WRX from deer leep and have to agree about their service.

The sales guy i first dealt with was sacked halfway through the deal, there was a few extra's he was going to get fitted to my car.. but after he went those went out the window as well...

Spose i should have made sure they put everything down on paper, will next time.

I will try Oakly for my servicing as ive heard good things about them !!

Was the sales guy that got sacked at DL a big old chap with glasses?

Can't remember his name now cos i've thrown away his business card! :D

He was the one who didn't bother calling back! Nevermind, i've now taken my business somewhere else. haha.

Oakley garage in Bedford, i get mine done there, small friendly garage. Not had any probs, and havent heard of any. Go to subaru main site and look up address there. These are a main dealer, but they arent expensive IMHO, also it may be worth keeping dealer service if you have a UK and want to continue warranty.

Failing that and u just want specialist service, you could do worse than get RGS motorsport to do serviving, they are based in Wellingborough, northants, and i had my imports serviced there when i had them.

Dont even think about PTS in Luton.
