When I connect my Alpine Ai NET MP3 miultichanger to my 7894RB HU, do I need to switch the AI Net thing on the bottom of the HU?

I think the switch is for AI NET peripherals.

It is set to NORM as standard, the other option is EQ/DVD.

Do I need to make any changes to this switch?

No leave it as it is. Its for connecting an EQ like PXA-H510 or similar then you switch it over. should also tell you all this in the owners manual.
