I hope you take it as a compliment that I bought this thing in the first place, it takes pride of place amongst other bent panels off my own rallycars....

It originated from a charity auction and I bought it off a guy who had paid big bucks for it - this guy was apparently so blootered that he found it outside his door in the morning http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/confused.gif , couldn't remember buying it, and had to get his mates to tell him what he paid for it !

I advertised it as a (thrifty) means of aquiring a set of wheels for my chase car - I'm trying to save cash meantime for doing some Scottish Championship rounds so any real money goes towards the rally car.

Anyway, how's your own collection of memorobilia going? Is the Sunbeam going yet, and are you not fitting a 1600 to keep it original? Anything else won't have the same 'rattle'.

Talking of relics I don't know whether John Fife ever forwarded my offer of help to you before the McRae Stages last year - he had written in the MN that you were stuck for an engine for your Escort - anyway, turns out to be JF stretching a story for another week (would he?) - but you could have been driving my car had you really been stuck. Or been really stuck...! (No, really, it's a good original Gp4, you'd like it too).

Anyway, should you not be doing something glamourous and exciting rather than 'glourin' at the internet....? Maybe you are stuck in Lanark.......?
