The rally portugal has just finished with Subaru's Richard Burns claiming a well deserved 4th place & Mitsu's Tommy Makinen taking the victory.
The conditions were terrible with excessive rain causing thick mud everywhere & 3 stages had to be cancelled. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif

As far as I could tell, it was another event where the first car through had the best conditions and it got steadily worse for the following cars, just like Australia (?) last year.

BlowDog - It has been rumoured that Makkinnen his hanging his helmet up at the end of the season, which is what PTMD may be alluding to.
