View Full Version : What About Delecour getting the boot CharlieWhiskey 01 December 2000, 01:43 I heard he had a blazing row with Corrado whatshisface at the after rally party and got sacked on the spot! Chris Neil Micklethwaite 01 December 2000, 09:27 Peugeot announced just after NQ that Delecour's services would not be required any more. The have Gronholm , Auriol ( SEAT ) , Panizzi and Rovanpera ( SEAT ). Perhaps his little spat in Sanremo with Panizzi had something to do with it. They will be a very strong team next year. Neil Micklethwaite 01 December 2000, 16:17 .... and Delecour's usually such a reserved chap never saying boo to a goose http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif Mind you I can't wait to see Auriol back in some competitive machinery. [This message has been edited by Neil Micklethwaite (edited 01 December 2000).] test 01 December 2000, 16:22 I'm really pleased that Auriol will have a decent drive for next year I like him. Just home it's not a good a drive as McRae! Subie Gal 03 December 2000, 17:58 yay for Auriol!!!! wooohooo!!!! pooor Delecour.... NOT!!! sorry... never really liked him... but i am sure we'll see him driving something else soon enough... j. Chris L 03 December 2000, 22:14 I suppose that Peugeot are in a very good position. They have the manufacturers crown which bascially means they have (almost http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif) the best car and they can pick and choose their drivers. With Seat pulling out (which is bit strange - weren't Seat meant to be the 'sporting' arm of the VW Group?), there are now even more top drivers available. So why keep a driver who rocks the boat? Tough on Delecour, but Peugeot are in the stonger position. Chris [This message has been edited by Chris L (edited 03 December 2000).] |
