I've been playing on the rogue server now for a while and have emailed someone at cshq to see if I can join xsti but no one has answered. Anyone else know how i can join?

rofl, I been spending a few nights on there as A.F.C or STi7-PPP, but I'm not doing too well on there, think I need some of the XSTi h4x

 

Only thing i can say is keep on playing, it gets easier! Best thing to do is to get onto www.cshq.co.uk/bbs and log on and start posting, we have a private server aswell that we hang out on, good bunch of ppl, well most of them are.

I also play as WelshNinja and i think i got kicked a couple of times. BTW I don't cheat and never have.

Please, someone sum up Counter Strike for me. I've seen it mentioned on forums the world over.

 

Team based combat games where you either play as Counter Terrorist or Terrorist. There are 3 map types: DE, CS & AS. DE means the Terrorists have to plant a bomb at one of 2 points on the map and the CT's have to stop them or defuse it. On CS maps the CT's have to rescue 4 hostages (usually found near the T spawn) and get them back to the CT spawn area. AS maps are the most unpopular maps, they involve one of the CT players being a VIP and the CT's need to escort the VIP to an escape point.

That's the jist of it. You'll probably find that the more players that are on the server the less strategic the playing will be.

Most of the maps played are DE (Defuse) as they dont tend to offer too much of an advantage to one particular side.

A map usually runs for 30 mins. Each round is usually a maximum of 5 minutes. The teams start off at opposite spawns. Counter-Terrorists (CT's) need to defend the two bomb spots, Terrorists (T's) need to attack and plant the bomb.

A round is one by either side killing all of the opposition, or the CTs defusing a planted bomb (even if the defuser dies a nanosecond later), or the T's planting the bomb and managing to stop the CT defusing before it detonates. They can purchase a defuse kit which allows them to defuse at 2-3 times faster than without it (very handy for only $200).

You get money for kills and winning rounds. More money means better weapons. They range from semi auto pistols, to sub machine guns, assault rifles and sniper rifles. Extra kit such as Flashbangs, smoke grenades, high explosive grenades, body armour and night vision. You also have a knife as backup in case you run out of ammo or cant reload in time.

CS is a team game. A semi decent team will beat a team with much better players if they communicate and have tactics. Watching PRO clans play compared to the usual fragfest seen on publics is awesome.

Dont get to worried if you cant kill anyone when you first play. Pick a good player and watch how they move about a map. A lot of people have been playing CS for several years and will wipe the floor with you. Stick at it and you will love it. Say good bye to do anything else for a few months when you first get addicted.

Fine, if you don't want me playing on your server, just say so. You basically call me a cheat but you have no evidence of this. It's only a game and i couldn't give a toss really. I thought rogue server was a pretty decent server, but obviously i was wrong.

If you cheat, the anti-cheat software on Rogue will find you & ban you - same as anyone else

Being called a cheat on Rogue is more a term of affection than anything else

 

True, but i don't wish to be banned for something i haven't done.

 

Something you did while playing on the server made me watch you for a little while but I saw nothing that made me thing you where cheating.

The 'They all say that' comment was not aimed at you. When someone is banned for cheating and they asked to be unbanned the normal reasons given is.....someone else installed the software on my computer or I dont cheat, it must be a mistake.

If I though you where cheating you would have been banned. Your not banned so what does that tell you?

 

I took your comments to say that i was cheating and will be banned. I have an standard copy of HL/CS installed. I don't even use buy scripts or any type of scripts etc.

I don't really care if people call me a cheat, I've been called that many times before. What i was upset about is being told i was close to being banned. Some servers have distributed banned lists and i don't wish to be added to them.

Also i can't seem to post on your forum, i registered in august last year but have not posted before.
