Just took a look at my bank account this afternoon and noticed just under 60 quid was taken from it by Tesco Insurance today, despite my policy coming to an end on March 9th! Called them up and it seems they've automatically renewed it for me, I hadn't received a letter or email or phone call or anything asking me if I'd like to have it renewed but they went ahead anyway. Called them up and they were very helpful and I'll be credited tomorrow, but it's a bit sneaky isn't it?

This is standard practice, they should of sent you a letter advising this procedure though.

Don't remember it ever happening to me before. Not to worry, no harm done.
