I've been dreading the MOT since putting a straight through decat system on last year - when put on by the dealer it cost a small fortune to swap the downpipe & system (gaskets, heatshield adjustments, new bracket?? etc.). I was expecting the same again to get through the emissions.

But I just had the MOT passed for £65 which included an exhaust swap (cat on > MOT > cat off) to get through emissions and well pleased. They just changed the centre section to get the pass (didnt ask too many questions ), the catted downpipe was still bagged up in the boot untouched.

Anyone in the Newport area needing a recommendation for an MOT station give me a shout.
