Question

I'm about to order clear front and side lenses for my UK 98 Turbo - do the original bulbs look total PAP, OR can I get away without the silver topped ones for a while ?

I realise that this is a matter of opinion, but I'm after an overall view and am concerned at 50 quid for bulbs!

Thanks,

Mark

Thumbs up

You could buys some chrome/silver spray paint and then paint the orange bulbs, ive done it and works perfectly.
Give the bulbs a light key with 1000 wet+dry to make sure paint stays on.

Just get some Phillips Silver Vision, saves the hassle - only 15 quid!

Don't buy clear ones, do what I did, and get smoke tinted ones.

Cool

I've ordered smoked ones this morning !

If I replace them, are the standard bulbs white or orange ?

I'm tempted to go for the silver bulbs, but even in scoobyshop they are 13 quid each for side lamps and 16 for fronts....

58 Quid !!!! My lenses are only 75 all in !

Do I need to just bite the bullet, buy them and shut up ?

Question

How easy are the lenses to swap ?

I've changed headlamp and front sidelights to PIAA Ultra's already....

Cheers,

Mark

These are my silver side repeater bulbs (excuse the photo quality) they were less than a tenner delivered to my door.

The bulbs come in pairs mate - its not 13 each! If you wanted side and front in silver bulbs reckon no more than 30 absolute tops!

DOH ! What a muppet -

My lenses are en route from TSL (free post for them in Feb..)

I've found a thread with 'how to remove', so no probs there ..

I'll take a look at the standard ORANGE bulbs, but I'll probly get some silver ones or try spraying them...

BRUN - Thanks for the pics - I took a look at the ones in the members pics section too....

Cheers Guys,

Mark
