Question

I have got some second hand morettes, although they have never been fitted. All the right parts seem to be there but I saw another car with them fitted on Saturday and that seemed to have some rubber strips along the top of the lights. Also there seemed to be a rubber seal along the side matching with the wing. Do i need these? Can I buy some rubber insulation from my local DIY shop and use that?

Any advice appreciated

When I fitted my Morrettes the foam/rubber strips came in the pack.

They are sticky on one side only.

If you are talking about the newage car which I think you have ?

One is used on the top of the light to create a weather proof seal, to stop water pouring over the back of the light and onto the electrics. The second is used between the light and the wing to stop any rubbing against the paint.

Any thin strip of weather proof rubber/foam draught excluder should be okay.

Nathan..
