Hoooray, someone posted something without telling me I'm mad for selling a Subaru!
Thank you.

Question

From: London (in a traffic jam)
...and you buy a V8-engined Land Rover - why?

r,

you did it then what spec in terms of goodies, ACE etc all fitted ?? In addition to the scoob we have a TD5 with everything apart from the cowhide. If you have ACE I think you will be more than happily suprised about the stability (the TDI we had wallowed like a barge in a force 8)

Hope you enjoy it

Cheers

Jim

Never has an extra been more aptly named.
The only way they could be more literal is to call it F***ing ACE.
Took a TD5 owning friend out for a spin the other night and he made me go round the roundabout FIVE times, couldn't believe the difference it made.
So far I think it's fantastic, but it's overdue a service so I'm not really driving it till after next Thursday when I've had the 24k service done and had it generally checked over.

In reference to the
WHY?
If you’re going to spend a large amount of time going no where why not have a big comfy arm chair to rest in, why not be up above the traffic so you can see what’s going on in front, why not have an auto so you don’t need to mess around with the clutch ever ten yards.
I’m going no where fast so Monday to Friday 300 BHP was wasted on me.

Thumbs up

r, could not agree more about the ACE. Took the TD5 down to Cornwall lastweekend and across the moors (bodmin/Dartmoor) it behaved impecably and no one got sea sick The week before we had a courtesy TD5 without ACE and although it was more stable than our old TDI, it still had much more wallow than our own one.

Glad your enjoying it, and like a scoob it should be good through the twisties

Cheers

Jim
