A colleague still has Win95 on a machine. It has Media Player 6.4 but no sound card. A warning message comes up about not being able to play sound, click OK then video will run ~ 7 secs and then the machine hangs and requires a reeboot.

I did have this happen on my old machine and somehow got round it but cannot remember how

i remember there being a speaker driver for win3.11 or thereabouts, was one ever made available for 95??

 

I never had a speaker driver on mine & it still worked. Although a warning that there was no audio hardware would come up EVERY time I accessed the programme
