Folks,

Can someone please tell me the best place to buy a 2nd hand bike in the Leeds area?
Being new to bikes I don't want to get a dud. Also can you get someone to do an AA check type thing on a bike to make sure it's not been smashed up and safe etc?

bought mine from cobb and jagger in bradford. they replaced the slightly warped discs with ebc's no hassle.

HPI a bike before buying will show up any claims and if it has been stolen written off etc. costs about 30 quid. dealers have to answer questions on a bikes history honestly, so if they know it has been smashed they should tell you when asked. do not expect this from a private seller. :)

get a warranty from a dealer - even if it is only a month.

test ride the bike and check for funny noises, pulling one way or warped discs.

they should be desperate to flog there old stock before then new stuff comes in for spring.
