Hi,
I am looking to go to the Finland stage of the rally and am after info on the best place for flights, car/camper hire, hotels and any other useful info. This will be my first foreign rally so any info at all appreciated.
Cheers
Kev

Have a look at the forum in the wrc.com website. Very helpful info especially regarding clothes and temperatures!
Have fun,
Chris.

Kev, as it's more than 6 months down the road, at least you should have plenty of time to arrange for a good trip. I have attached one sample of trips that are offered. I am sure you can make your own arrangements as well and there must be some Finnish friends in here that might guide you to the right spots. Good luck. :)
Am not clever enough to make it clickable yet :D

Planning visiting the rally of 1000 lakes? Here's some advice:
- weather will most likely be warm, last 4 years it's been 23-30 C and sunny
- The rally town Jyväskylä will be full, accommodation is very hard to find, I hear. I would suggest to go to another town, Tampere, which is some 70 km from the stages of saturday (I've always visited the rally only saturday)
- the roads will be full of other spectators, without a motorbike (or helicopter ;) you can hope to see atmost 3 stages per day. 2 is more likely.
- get ready to walk a lot. For the past 2 years we've had bikes loaded in the car, so we can park further away from the stage and still make it there and back quickly
- the website will be found via links in http://www.akkry.fi
Feel free to ask more, Koppa

There is quite a lot of student accomodation (halls of residence) around which gets rented out during the summer, its cheap (for Finland), good quality and at this time of year you should have no problem in booking it.
