My folks are doing up their livingroom and want a nice "modern" gas fire (yes she is going through that 'I am old so want a young, modern home' stage;) )
any sites I should be visiting ?
this wont be the main focal point in the room so nothing too £££ but needs to be good quality and aesthetically pleasing :D Oh and MODERN ;)

Over to you guys......

Pg,
i fitted a Valor cirrus at the end of last year at my house, looks ok and performs ok.
have a look on the Valor website(sorry dont know the addy).
Pick a fire that is a make you have heard of ,Valor, robinson willey, cannon etc.
the ones at B+Q are made by Valor but are not as well built or finished off,but thats why they are cheaper.
Also get a proper fire not a DFE,which is decrotive fuel effect,eg,just looks nice but IS NOT a heating appliance.

You also need to check what sort of flue you have as some fires might not fit
