Question

Hi all

Can anyone recommend good quality 2 channel amp to power the above speakers that won't cost the earth?

What sort of power would the amp need to have? The 605cs speakers are rated at 90 watts RMS and 270 watts max. Do I need an amp with the same power output, or can it be less than that?

Cheers,

Gavin

Did you try it on the sub Gavin?

I just can't figure why it would just die like that...

I've a Phillips DAP6040, they're on offer at www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/ for £109.99

Although this is a 4 channel amp it will power the 605's beautifully anf you can even run your sub from it at the same time

I run an Alpine MRVF407 and it runs my Infinity 120.1 Sub as well as my 60.2 Comps cos its a 2/3/4 chanel amp. U can pick these up for round 220quid if you look hard - stand in WH Smiths and read the car audio mags or Max Power... top unit!
