I've just discovered this is happening whilst I am there, and know zilch about it. I wondered if anyone could shed some light on what this event is all about, as I think I have just stumbled on a gem of an event... :)

As far as I know Ice racing is not WRC, they use special cars like 600 bhp 4 wheel drive, 4 wheel steer micras etc  I think that is what you are talking about. Nigel Mansell competed in one a few years ago in an escort and did very well :D

So that's what the old crusty gets up to these days eh! Suppose the slippery ice gives him an excuse for the amount of times he drives into other peoples cars.... ;)

There is both the Trophee Andros ice racing http://www.tropheeandros.com/ with the 600HK four wheel steering cars, and the WRC ice racing, the WRC racing is 3 races, one in France, one in Finland and one in Canada, and they normally use former WRC Rally cars. Last years champion was Ivan Muller in a Seat WRC
