View Full Version : **The Official Monte WRC Result Thread**
Richard Askew 24 January 2003, 10:35 ..if you want to post the results and anything exciting stage by stage then please do so in this thread. Dont go starting new threads with titles like "Carlos winning" or "Mcrae Off!!" cos that ruins it for people who dont want to know the results as they happen..
Cheers
R

Nigel H 24 January 2003, 17:23 But Colin's doing better - and it doesn't look like it will be a Pug walk over this year. Both Cit and Scoob look competitive :).
I know it's still a bit early to draw too many conclusions

Claudius 24 January 2003, 19:05 Team Subaru's foray in the Plan de Vitrolles stage will be put in the "very bad memories" file, with both Impreza going off road - after only eight kilometers for Tommi Makinen, who struggled all day. The car didn't look beyond repairs, but it simply wouldn't restart.
His teammate's run in the 71st Monte ended not much farther. Motivated as ever, Petter Solberg had been warned earlier on in SS3 with a slight off. Sadly, this wasn't enough to slow down the young Norwegian, who ran into a bridge post twenty kilometers into the stage. The damage was too much, the Impreza had to be left in its place, leaving the hunt for the leading Peugeot to its extended family from the PSA Group.
BOB.T 24 January 2003, 21:43 Cheers Blackscooby:)
C'mon now Colin:D:D:D
YorkshireSimon 24 January 2003, 23:36 Looked like Petter has re-sculptured the MY04 STI....

Ross Taylor 25 January 2003, 06:25 ...And which stage did I go to yesterday...?
SS5 of course! Unfortunately both Scoobs were nowhere to be seen having launched themselves of the rouad before the bit I was standing at... :(
Did spot the car whilst they were unloading it from the transporter at Casino square on Thursday afternoon...Rather nice! :)
Cheers,
Ross.
Claudius 25 January 2003, 11:39 Saw them at the shakedown, very nice Scoobies. Too bad they crashed them both. The Scoobynet people disappeared after that! :-O
wiltshire_boy 25 January 2003, 13:15 First stage of the day cancelled because of spectators (drunken scoobynetters? :) )
Panizzi retires feeling ill (been out with the scoobynetters?)

phil 25 January 2003, 19:07 SS9 and Gronholm hits a rock losses 6 mins
Citreon 1,2 & 3 Loeb,Mcrae and Sainz

Knight Rider 25 January 2003, 20:21 Any "after crash" pics available of the WRC Scoobys?
BOB.T 25 January 2003, 23:38 I think Grunholm deserved that crash! He used to be a really nice guy, now he's just an arrogant t*sser, he's almost as bad as Burns, speaking of which, is it just me or has Burnsie got, possibly the worst grasp on the English lanquage, EVER:D
Huxley 26 January 2003, 13:43 Fook me no one can be as bad as Boo Bag Burns images/smilies/mad.gif
At least he's way back down the field:D:D:D:D:D
