Hiya CEL,

You are absolutley correct :D There will be convoys from all over the place rumbling around England on Sunday towards the final RV so there will be plenty of opportunity for people to tag on to one of those.
This event though is a pi$$ up, vaguley disguised as forward planning to avoid 4-5 hrs driving in one day ;)

The list sofar and It isn't confirmed yet is as follows:

1 )Charlei Whizkei ;)
2 )Gridlock Mikey
3 )Tony G
4 )Jason H
5 )SiDHEaD
6 )Student Bloke
7 )555 Shaggy (Need to sort a campsite out dude  Call me)
8 )Flat 4
9 )Nuclear Pond
10)Velryba
11)MissyC
12)Scooby-Si
13)CEL

Not bad for the middle of April :D

:p

If it's going to be that many cars I guess I will have to organise something a bit more than I was originally planning

I was looking forward to a gentle 'shall we go this way?' perusal around the area, but it seems I may have to rethink the options ;)

How do folks feel about an 'open map' with recommended routes, rather than a fixed itenary and notes? We could all convoy up the Motorway to a start point and optionally meet up for lunch? That way if people wanted to go to Whitby or explore the 'forest trails':D then we could do that without clogging up the lanes and attracting unwanted attention. ;)

As a start point I was thinking of Tibshelf Services(between 28&29), but CEL is a bit further North than that so do we need to meet at Woodall???

I have also had a thought about the 'Western route' - It may be suitable as a scenic route home for some ;)

I'm easy, as ever ;)

I prefer the follow you idea, since my navigating skills are doo doo. :D
As for meeting up, if someone could ring us as you approach junction 31, we can join the motorway and catch you up. Unless you were planning on coming off the motorway beofore that, in which case we will come down to you.

Cheers

p.s. You decided on keeping the guitar then?

CharlieWhiskey

charlie can you send me details

Er?, nope,;) as there arent any details yet :o

I think we should meet at a services on the M1, maybe Woodall or Tibshelf, then a steady convoy up there?

It will not be like a normal run with detailed notes as I just hav'n't got the time to recce it all. I spent a few days up there last year sorting out the best roads and have marked up maps. :D

I think the best thing is to split up into small groups, go different ways and meet up for lunch and before we head off to campsite. There are so many brilliant roads up there you cannot do them all in a day, and some people might like to see/do different things. :) How many peeps have been up there before?

Mikey, have you got any details about campsites & stuff?

Hiya Charlez,

I'm gonna phone Shaggy who said he might know somewhere, failing that i'll have to don my campsite finding hat.

Tony, still not sure about the guitar, inntonation is a well out and not sure if i can be arsed to sort it, giz anuvver few days :D

Also can I just point out that this is primarily a CAMPING session, if you want to wuss it, then you'll have to arrange ya own B&B. If you do that, obviously you are more than welcome to the evenings shenanegans and share the odd burger :D

Charlleeeeeeeeeie best I talk to you about a route then ;)

We can discuss it tomorrow night, I'll bring me maps :D

Have you had a look at the links off the LWV website? There should be one or two worth looking at on there.

CEL, you can follow me, I just hope somebody else is coming who can read a map? ;)

I take it you got my text Mikey about the number for the camp site?
If they ask which field you want, ask for the one that is in the bend in the river - its a top place to camp :D failing that, the bottom one furthest from the shop and buildings. keeps us away from the quiet normal campers...
