View Full Version : Grimsby mini-meeting .......Sunday 2nd Feb
Nick n Jewels 20 January 2003, 15:39 Ok, all those up for it please reply.
Meeting will be Sunday 2nd Feb, please specify preference for lunch or evening and a suggested venue??? Evening probably best. Quiet pub around the GY outskirts would be good I assume, how about the Swallow Inn at Swallow on the A46 its out of the way, quiet and a reasonable car park. Open to suggestions

ricco 22 January 2003, 17:55 Sorry guys.... Not gonna be able to make it:(
Missus has booked us a weekend away to Amsterdam:D:D No visiting the red light district though;)
jac2000 22 January 2003, 17:58 Nick
I would prefer Rothwell, it has changed hands fairly recently - now called the Blacksmiths Arms and is run by Rick (ex White Heart Caistor) Beer & grub v.good. Everyone has their own preference as to whats good, but for location, atmosphere, friendliness I would personally rate it higher than the Swallow. However, this aint the sort of place where doughnuts in the car park and engine revving are on the menu!
Kev - after the episode at the last meet I think we have all been quiet. All running well thanks, look foreward to seeing you at this one!
John

Nick n Jewels 23 January 2003, 10:49 Don't worry......you won't be the only non-scoobie person there Codhead, one of the Vectra boys that works with Nick is coming I think........but if it tempts someone to buy or even go back to a scoobie then all the better!!
