Full on SECS!
Right, after 3 hours slog and much picture taking, Fizz and I managed to install the first pod-mount SECS1003 in a "Classic" scoob. The full fitting storyboard will appear in a PDF download on the www.psi3.co.uk website soon.

The one on the classic looks excellent
Just hope I can get one for my MY98
Squizz, any chance of getting a pic of the area where you connected the SECS1003 to on the classic Impreza?
Cheers,
Gavin

That photo is a bit dark, but the rest of the fitment photos are of much better quality.
Gavin - The connector is plugged in at the bottom of the steering column and slightly to the right. There is a picture of the plug being connected on the forthcoming fitment document. Expect to see it on the www.psi3.co.uk website by the middle of the week.
<Mental note - annotate the photographs, describing what we did
>
BTW - This involves a lot of hacking of your original oddment bin, there's no going back once you've got a certain way in!!
Simon/PCB - Cheers, mate. Fizz and I are very pleased with our units. The stock photos we took on Saturday look really good, too. They'll be on the site in a couple of days.

Simon,
S1001 is single DIN fitment as shown in the picture above of the silver faced unit.
S1002 is the standalone unit, which can be surface mounted anywhere.
S1003 is the PRE '01 pod mount. ( Probably the best option for your car)

www.psi3.co.uk use Subaru OEM parts wherever possible.
The pod pictured and its skeleton mount are Subaru OEM parts. The extra sensors for oil pressure/temperature on future units will be genuine parts also.

Wondering what unit is best for me...
I have a MY00, but don't want to destroy the centre pod unless I have to. The stand alone one had been ideal, if it hadn't lacked some of the features of the other ones...
Is it possible to remove the center pod unit from the pod, and mount it somewhere else? It looks like it's a bit smaller than the single DIN unit, so I might be tempted to get a pod-unit and mount it as a stand alone
BTW, does anyone know why the stand-alone unit lacks the external inputs/outputs og the other units?

Nathan L, modified defi indicators are £35, EGT needs seperate sensor, all units available from stock.
Hawk, MY98 should be the same as MY99 provided you have the 16 pin diagnostic socket, i will confirm this later in the week.
Torstein, full fitting instructions for the pod mount will be on our site this week.

The SECS1003 (pod-mount) Fitment Guide document is now available on the www.psi3.co.uk website, as are photographs of the various units and options.
Now that's a good question... I wanted all the diagnostic info, as the Dawes was my next logical step after a de-cat downpipe.
Does the Dawes fool the ECU into thinking it's producing less boost than it is? I'll try and find out in "Drivetrain".

wrx - So if I fit a Dawes Device I can see exactly how much more boost I dialing in. Is that correct?
That also means the original ECU Fuel Cut remains as a saftey feature...So I'm getting one soon.
