Anyone tried Spax RSX555 coil overs
Prodrive Legacy
When you say they are crap , in what way do you mean ? saw them at the autosport show and they looked to be very well constructed , the independant report they gave me rated them but would like to hear from someone who has them before I make a decision . I have had spax and koni shocks in the past and found spax to be the better .
I hope this doesn't sound as though I'm and a pop at you as I'm not , I just want info. Cheers Dave

it wasn't fair to say they were crap without reason. reasons why they are inferior to other products esp the GAZ stuff!
1, they dont make the stuff themselves and don't have full quality control
2, the damper shafts are almost allways thinner than their competitors so they bend easier!
3, they only have basic dust seals, most companies have better sealing.
4, 3 yr waranty that also covers trackday and light competition use.
5, fully rebuildable, can be rebily when they fail that week after the waranty finnishes! spax would just be thrown away.
6, finner damper adjustment and more range on the gaz shocks
7, gaz let you spec your own springs and will work with you on custom set-ups
8, How many spax equiped rally cars do you see!
9, THEY ARE CHEAPER OPTIONS Gaz is about £700 all in from zenith!
I dont have any connection with any damper manufacturer...but am a motorsport engineer and have lots of experience of replacing spax that have failed! (mostly on road cars)
