Does anyone remember a clip on BBC when they did the coverage of the WRC. I reckon it was around 94/95 and was of Colin McRae driving the Impreza in pitch black with a thick fog. I believe it was Rally GB that this happened on.
He turned off the lights on the car and drove almost the entire stage in total darkness with only the notes to guide him.
I was wondering if it was possible to download this clip from anywhere?

Think I remember the rally you are on about.....Pretty sure it was the RAC, and Nicky Grist co-driving. It was early in the morning in one of the Welsh forests, and the pod lights were just reflecting back the fog, so Grist suggested turning them off and using the (little) natural light available to pick their way through the trees.

I think later cars in the top 10 had the advantage of daylight!!

Er, to answer your question - '95 RAC?

I have the network q 95 vid and dont think its on that, but i may be wrong.

Grist teamed up with McRae in 1997 so either you have te wrong year or co-driver! :p

Thanks for the replies but I am interested in getting hold of that clip. If it is on any RAC or Network Q Video then I would love to know which one as I might be able to get it from Duke Video's maybe?.
