Its almost time to start a new thread for this event me thinks.

How many of us are there out there?

Did the Red Kite get together happen and therefore how about a non-alcoholic bevvie (whatever that is?)in the racecourse bar or a meal for anyone that can make it?

Get your entries in early (for the rally that is).

Earlier today they had 86 entries and the first 130 receive automatic acceptance.

The website is a good source of info.

Tim not sure where we are staying I leave that to the office manager (co-driver) but it is somewhere near. I just looked at the seeding it is becoming a bit of a habit. I am hoping Lawrence has sorted this chucking up thing as we did a scatter on wednesday and he was ok on the maps. Before proco2020 says anything yes he did get me lost and yes we did get my road subaru stuck up to the diff and sump guards in mud and no I probably will never live it down.
I took a trooper which got stuck and then a 110 td5 landrover to get me out and then I had to explain to the other half why her car was muddy inside and out. Roll on the next Craven scatter.

See you on the wyedean.

Cheers Guys, Hope you all have a good one.
I'll keep and eye out for you and try and get some pics.
If you see a fat git with blue waterprrofs (not subaru) and a camera hanging out of a tree on the way past give us a wave:)
And could you also slow down please so I get a good shot, say 10-20MPH :D
And if you have a clean car when you pass that would be appreciated also:D
Cheers, Grahame.

I'm going to spectate as well. To late to enter. Better get the OS maps out and find some suitable spots to watch from.

Good luck to you all.

Going to spectate.
What cars are you running and numbers, I'll try and get some pics:D
Any suggestions on best stages or corners for pics would be greatfully received as I haven't been to this one before.

Went to Regency Stages last weekend and shot 4 rolls of 35mm  and 150 digital:D This hobby is becoming expensive, I just bought a new digital camera, it would probably be cheaper to enter the rally:D

Cheers and good luck, Grahame.

I spectated on stage 3 this morning and stood at a pretty good hairpin and watched the whole field slide through. I took zillions of photo's on my digital camera only to get back and find that most are out of focus :( I should really spend time reading instruction manuals !

Here are a few that aren't too bad....

Car of the day was definitely Andy Burton's Peugeot 306 Cosworth :D

Car of the day was definitely Andy Burton's Peugeot 306 Cosworth

Yawn, yawn, boring, yawn, *ahem* Ok yes I agree :D

Got to SS2 Speech House and SS9 Serridge.

Stood about 2/3 of the way into Speech House and five cars went through with punctured tyres.

An Evo (121 I think) slid off the road, they went wide into a 90 degree right and then shot straight across the road and down a bank but the crew were OK.

One of the 1400 Novas had an unfortunate mishap while moving over to let a faster competitor through, the crew hit a tree doing a fair bit of damage to the nearside.

On SS9 I found the tarmac section which was basically a long straight road rising over a crest into a left right kink and then carryingon . The speed that the front runners were getting upto on the straight was phenonimal.

The blue Land Rover with the psuedo-Subaru livery spun at the bottom of the incline and then spun again on the left right kink getting stuck in the wire fencing that was lining that particular part of stage.

Overall it was s superb event again just like last years.

Oh and I didn't hear the Clubman drivers complaining about using gravel tyres on tarmac, unlike their rather better paid counterparts in the WRC :D

Editted to add saw Rally Colin and Ian Godney going through the stages, Ian was sporting some interesting modifications to the drivers side wing of the banana Cosworth car ;)
