The chance of a bit of revenge for the hammers knocking us out 2 years ago. :)

Arsenal though - What can you say?!

Liverpool's should be a toughen.

Not as hard as The Shrews against Chelsea :(

Crystal Palace - a tough one - eh????

Confident then are we Redkop?!

Semi final, 1990 I think it was, springs to mind - Pardew!

The state you're in at the moment, they'll very much fancy their chances I reckon...

Fecking hell that was 12 years ago! Things have progressed since then!!

We were the best team around in those days ! truly awesome team, everyone was out to beat us, so naturally the odd defeat was going to happen, cracking game from memory though.

I thought Man City were due to knock us out anyway ?

We beat Palace in Worthingtons 2 years ago on the way to winning it (think the scores were 2-1 loss and 5-0 home win).

think the scores were 2-1 loss

Exactly! That was only 2 years ago! I would say you are in a worse state at this present time than you were then.

If you were at home then I would have said you would be strong favourites but as you're away...

We'll see...

For us - yes!

For you - most definitely not! :p

Lets hope Di Canio isnt fit!

We dont need anymore Travolta routines from Barthez:D, I cant forget sitting behind that goal freezing my nads off and just watching in disbelief as Paolo strolled into the box and slotted it home :(

Revenge indeed Swinyes.

Also how refreshing that the draw was on Monday lunchtime, just like to good old days, and listening to it on the radio.

You are only saying that cos of our recent bad run - guy I worked with is a Scum Fan (sorry, but everyone else refers to ManUre as Scum so why not me) and he held his hands up and said we were the better team last year. Bloody obvious to me, table showed that !

Well you've got another tie at home - another gimme.

and he held his hands up and said we were the better team last year. Bloody obvious to me, table showed that !

Just like the table shows that Everton have been a better team than you this season, as have Southampton, as have Newcastle, as have Chelsea, as have Arsenal, as have we!

Well you've got another tie at home - another gimme

Hmmm... I remember back in 1990 when we won the FA Cup having not played one game at OT...

Last year we were knocked out in the fourth round and drawn away in both rounds.....to Premiership opposition.

This year we are in the fourth round and drawn a Premiership side and one that will be next season... Your point exactly?

Swin, as usual your argument is flawed, you are making presumptions e.g. Portsmouth being in the premiership next season - well it hasn't happened yet has it ?

As for your other point, my reference was at the end of the season not half way through it. Thats like saying Arsenal are streets ahead of ManUre - I mean that can't be true can it ? And also like saying that you are marginally better than Chelsea and Newcastle.

Thats like saying Arsenal are streets ahead of United - I mean that can't be true can it ? And also like saying that you are marginally better than Chelsea and Newcastle.

At the moment I would say all that is not far off the mark at all...

Alright then, Portsmouth are 21st in the English league at the moment - Just one place below Premiership side West Ham! You're just being pedantic now!

My arguments are only flawed from an ABU's viewpoint.

I'm not being pedantic - merely pointing out facts like Portsmouth not being in the Premiership. They could equally be 28th by the end of the year !

And I don't believe you admitted to the Arse being streets ahead. They're only two thirds the power of last year IMO. You wouldn't admit it if we were there (yes I know we are not - before you go ABU on me !!)

but at the end of the day
Arsenal are doing just enough to be better than anyone else
& still have more to come

Yes, I can see your point now ash - another home tie - another gimme!

SwinYE5

You're putting words into my mouth now - I said you were 'not far off the mark at all'. I didn't say you were spot on! Make of that what you will!

I agree, Arsenal are not what they were last season. Pires is probably the main reason why, he's still trying to recover his fitness and his form. They are playing in fits and starts this season.....just like the rest of us really!
