i must say i'm mystified as to what happened there. it looked to me that cudicini caught the ball and was bundled into the net by windass.

so how you get from that to a yellow for windass and a red for cudicini i dont know. the ref then gives a free kick to chelsea.

anyone see something i missed because that has to be the most bizarre referee's decision in years

Well I couldn't make out what Carlo did. The ref raised his leg indicating Carlo had put the knee into Windass in the back of the net. Quite how Carlo resisted the temptation to floor that northern monkey after that sort of challenge I'll never know.

Made me laugh when Marcel booted the ball out of the ground though :D. Oh and who says Chelsea don't battle like some teams do!
The last twenty minutes I thought everyone got stuck in and even Jimmy started trying ;). Pity Bolo's run and shot didn't go in.

Lets just hope tv proves Carlo is innocent. Halsey's cocked up before...didn't he send Jimmy off at WHL when it should have been Melchiot?

Windass made a wreckless challenge with no intentin to play the ball. This was the reason for the foul and subsiquent free kick. Then in the aftermath Cudicini raised his knee toward Windass's head deliberatly. The Ref sent him off.

IMHO the ref got it spot on!

just seen the replay on tv and i cant see anything violent about cudicini's reaction....windass had no intention of playing the ball so should have gone off...in my view the ref got it way wrong

care3 good luck with the season ticket, i'm in the east upper

Cudicini off!
Deserved to go you cannot go round kneeing people,(intent?) that said Windass is a thug and should isn't good enough to play in the England, he should go back to third rate footall at Aberdeen (SPL):(
