I have had an Origin Blue i hardwired in for about 6 months without problems, suddenly the display went funny, over the next few days the speaker stopped and then the backlight went.
When I spoke to Origin (Brian) he said you don't drive a Subaru do you?
Apparently they have problems with spikes on start up with Scoobies and Evos. When the new unit comes back I'll use a Zenner Diode in line which should stop this.

Might explain the number of problems in this and other groups with these

Mmmmmm - I was in a car with an Origin - STi7 - the display was gone in that one too!

No problem it is a GPS spped camera locator Gizmo. Excellent IMHO when it works :-(
