Thinking of replacing the bathroom radiator with a towel radiator.
I will need to re-configure the pipework around the radiator.

Do I need to drain the complete system ?

What is the best way to avoid spilling water all over the place ?

Due to space constraints I will be using two small towel radiators next to each other. Can I put them in series and just use a single thermostatic radiator valve on the supply to the first radiator ?

Any other tips or advise much appreciated.

If the bathroom is upstairs, just drain enough water out to get the level below the affected pipework.

A hose pipe run outside to drain off. A baking tray and a cloth on hand to catch drips & mop up as you take the old rad out.

I'm not a plumbing expert, but i see no reason not to; i'd probably do it that way if i needed 2 rads.

Use the end feed type soldered fittings for exposed connections because they look neater.

Give your SO an umberella before you start stating something along the lines of "just in case...". The look on their face will be well worth any grief you get for it!

Hope it all goes ok.
