just got a new knob for christmas (for the car!) - Momo type

does anyone know how to get the old knob off - MY01 WRX.

does it just unscrew, or is it more technical?

any help would be appreciated.

On my Momo one - outer collar unscrews, then up to 3 screws (allan keys ) holding the knob to the gearshift. Unscrew them and screw the gear knob off the top of the shaft. Hope this helps.

If it's the standard Scooby knob, it unscrews. End of story.

Standard knob unscrews - then you have to pull it off the gaiter.

The Momo knod boes not attach to the gaiter - but it stays in place perfectly well anyhow ;)

When I put my Momo knob on I had to wind some tape round the collar of the stick to hold the gaiter up (as it was previously fixed to the old knob). Works a treat.
