Hi guys
Does anyone know where ther relay for the ABS is located on a UK MY98, the ABS light has come on on the dash after giving the car a thoroughly good wash and after searching thru countless threads, I want to clean the contacts to see if this is the problem (thanks Craft), having said that, I tried an emergency stop in the carpark at work and the car skidded, could a dirty relay cause the ABS to malfunction?? dirty sensors??, or just a failed relay?? or knowing my luck something far more expensive :(

Any advice welcome

Thanks

Dave

as a simple check, try checking the connectors underneath the back seat, as if anyone has sat down rather heavikly or something heavy on rear seat squab can often disconnect the connector plugs, not too hard to find, on either side of floor pan, almost by inner panel.

Cheers Scoobtslut (love the name)

Just removed the rear seat and everything is in order underneath, its very rare anyones in the back anyway.

So that leaves the location of the relay and the sensors then.

if the abs light is on it turns the system off as a safety thing. but the relay is in the top of the abs unit i think under a black cover.
