Question

Does anyone out there know if a dealer is going to charge for the first service on a Dutch sourced Impreza or is it free like it should be?

About 120 quid is the absolute maximum. The UK buyers have to pay for parts, we have to pay labour on top...

Thats what I thought, tight bast4rds. I presume that, when you say "we", you mean you have an import too.

Yep, do indeed. You can't really blame 'em for charging for the service . Though an hour's labour to drop the oil and put more in may be seen as a little excessive.

Mine was around £80, but considering the money you saved buying it abroad in the first place it is not a large percentage. You will have to take your paperwork with you as well, I think it was a copy of the invoice that they required in order to register the car with Subaru UK before they are allowed to carry out any work.

Mine waqs £105 - but I learned my lesson - now the normal servicing costs about £60 and includes oil filter and silkolene oil

These cars are a doddle to service - just take them to your local - cheap garage
