If the central locking stops working from the alarm key fob and also manually is there a relay that controls this that would be at fault.Or is there something else which goes faulty that couild be the problem.It's a 1994 wrx.

any ideas would be appreciated

Unfortunately, I don't think there's a straight answer to this, as it depends on the alarm as to what electronic bits have been added.

I don't think the problem will be relay based, however it's an area of car I have left alone (for now)

thanks i think i'll ring up the guys who did the alarm as i think the faults connected to that it's been on the car less than 12 months so it should still be covered:)

HAVE HAD SIMILIAR PROBLEM BUT WORKS MANUALLY.YOUR PROBLEM SOUNDED LIKE MOTOR FITTED IN DRIVERS DOOR PACKING UP AS THIS DOOR CONTROLS WHOLE SYSTEM..
WHAT WAS THE ANSWER??????
