David Power,

I have recently purchased an STi V, ex-demo, 3000 miles.

After reading the posts regarding a few engine problems with these cars, is there anything you can do in the way of checking everything over on your rolling road? I'm not overly concerned, but I feel it could be wise to give the engine a quick once over from someone with the correct equipment.

Thanks for any help,

Dave.

Hi

Yes of course we can check on the rolling road all is OK. We do not know if any of the "problem cars" had faults prior to faulure but do not be too concerned. Our advice is at present (until we can map the ECU for 98 or 95 fuel) is do not use on the track, and use 98RON fuel exclusively, take care after a hard run then traffic then hard running again.
Please telephone 01895 464646 to book in for a check.

David,

What is the significance of taking care after a hard run - traffic - hard run?

What I mean is that when running hard at high speed the engine can dissipate heat well, but if you come to a stop the heat soaks into the engine and then if you run hard again there will be high underbonnet and engine temperatures.

Not a big problem just be aware
