Is there such a thing ?
Where/ how to change ?
My alarm is set to bleep on opening and closing the car, but after its service the bleep is very quiet. Rang the dealer and he said it needs a new internal battery, but the alarm was fine prior to the service.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Just for info a new alarm fob was programmed into the alarm at the service.

Youve got a battery pack in the siren, which can be changed but i dont know if you can just replace the batteries or the whole siren but im sure you can set the beeps to be quieter on the keypad in the car, check that out first before you change the batteries.

You can replace the battery. It looks like a normal 9v rectangular battery. Is a 9v nickel cadmium battery has a part number of 15F8K.

To change it, loosen the nuts holding the bracket to the siren, the siren should just slide off. You will then see 2 screws where the bracket mounts are. Undo these and the front will come away.

Not sure if you are supposed to change it, but looks like you can. I just have my old one in pieces in the garage. I replaced it with a different make

I think Plankey is right, they have probably just changed the settings when programing the key fob.
I had the pin number changed on my keypad and my beeps are now louder!!!!!!!!!!

Battery is fine so it must be down to reprogramming !
I'll just have to live with the quiet bleeps.

Cool

Colin,
Mus1 kindly sent me the M30 Manual and it tells you that the * button toggles between loud and soft bleeps.
If you still want a copy of the manual E mail me as per profile and I'll forward you a copy.
