Question

Hi,
Have just replaced my 2 pot calipers with some shiny new 4 pots (), the difference is amazing, but there is an anoying noise coming from the front right wheel. At first I thought it may be the wheel nuts had not been tightened, although there was no shaking thru the steering. Checked them and they are ok.

It now sounds as tho' the pads are loose inside the caliper? as the noise disappears when I press the brake pedal. Also when the car is stationary, if I tap the brake pedal on and off there is a clunking noise from the caliper. Any suggestions?

All help appreciated.

Caliper bolts could be loose, or you haven;t got the anti rattle springs on!

stuck anti-squeel backing material on my 6 pots, the pistons press into it and stop the pads rattling. Availible from all good pads suppliers.
