Question

I have two worksheets...

On WS1, I have totalled a list of expenditure (H50)

I wish to display just that total on WS2

So at the cell ref, I should go WS1!H50 but that doesn't work. I can't get it to work as a pivottable as there is no list.

Doh!

All I want to do is to have the running totals displayed on WS2, where I will subject them to other formulae from WS3 etc..

I know its simple, but damned if I can find it

Thanks

Thumbs up

Yep. Or just name the total cell then type =NAMEDCELL wherever you want it

BTW the correct syntax is =WS1!H50

Hi Puff,

find the box where you want to put the total on WS2 and hit the Sum icon, then go back to WS1, highlight the numbers you want to highlight and hit return. Worked for me a minute ago.

Also thank for the contact for the tracker, should be having it installed in a couple of weeks.

Cheers
Andy

Hmm..

Then you have to change the name from =WS1!A1 to =WS2!A1 It won't do it straight off but getting the required result in the end

Ta!

Lightbulb

Change the name ? Just name the cell or range of cells, like:

Insert, Name, Define, PUFF's TOTAL

Then wherever you type =sum(PUFF's TOTAL) your total will appear
