Question

Looking at getting ADSL for home use - any recommendations? ZenADSL looks good.

Also, I'm thinking of hooking it up to a Wi-Fi network to allow us to connect a couple of different computers in different parts of the Parochial House. Does anyone know if this is possible and what's a good place to get the Wi-Fi stuff?

TIA

Father Jack

you can get a all-in-one box - adsl modem, 4-port router and wireless. have a look at www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk and www.seg.co.uk.

I may have answered this myself ... see below:

www.wirelessnets.net/homeProd.htm

But any comments welcome, about this outfit or others.

Then I just hook up my iPaq and surf from the garden!

ah... but you still need a ADSL modem. then the wireless base station (aka access point or AP) and wireless client (USB, PCMCIA, CF, PCI, etc). the AP will need to connect to a router and then connect to the ADSL modem.

(i think i am making it more complicated!)

check out some URL for wireless products...

www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk for ADSL and WiFi bits and pieces. Guy who runs it is a S'Netter (RoadRunner).
