The wavy discs are there pretty much for pose value. A normal disc of the same diameter would be just as effective, although wave discs are supposed to prevent pad glaze a bit. It's good enough to get the back wheel in the air at any speed you like, which is fine by me. ;)
The bike's an absolute riot, sounds like the coming of the apocolypse too. Since it's a 650 single with titanium race pipe it bloomin well should do. :D

Do them discs serve an advantage, or are they just for craziness?

Larger discs than stock mate, once the moto wheels are on compared to the normal ones you need more stopping power, coz you can tear the ar*e out of the bike.

The wavey rotors are supposed to reduce the risk of warpage, and stop the pads from glazing over.
Oh and they look cool as well
