Right you lot,

It's my 21st birthday(read 40th o.k!) again a week next Tuesday, the 5th November( If you want my address to send cards then e-mail!), please no Guy Fawkes jokes as I've probabaly heard them before..

I have arranged a party on the Saturday, 2nd November at our house. Could be a tight squeeze if a load turn up, but there is always the garden! Should be playing the BeeGees, Shakatak, Cool and the gang, Carpenters etc etc on the Stereo because that's my era !!

Anyway, You're all welcome. I will be visiting Thatchers brewery to get some of the lovely Cider so beware!.

I will expect a fly past of all the De-catted scoobs in the Yate area at about 6.30 - 7pm

Could potentially put some up on the living room, kitchen etc floor if needed.

Might even have a BBQ if the skies are clear and a few fireworks could be let off..

Let me know if you can make it, should be fun.

another great reason to buy a wagon..fold down the seats..lay out sleeping bag...instant bed and breakfast (well without the breakfast or the bed)....can't believe you are going to be 40 Steve you don't look a day over 39 years and 11 months...

About the wagon - I'm sure I had the best/fastest wagon around for 4 years- leda suspension - Alcon brakes - SS back box. Forget your re-maps, these are the bits that count "on the road" unless you're a woos or a poser( should spark some debate me thinks!). Nothing our-ran it on various runs including Exmoor including 300bhp beasts ! Even opertook a few 280bhp STI's.

To give you a clue - Leda - dial out all the understeer and awesome handling - Alcons - Stop quicker when you want all the time!

Could have taken on any P1 with it. That says it all I think. Loved my old Red Wagon should have kept it!

hmm Steve we need to talk over beer and cider as 2003 is either project wagon or P1 time...I am loathe to lose the wagon because I like the q car status and love having an estate car that eats 'sports' cars ona regular basis..even thought about folding the seats down and permenantly carrying a bit of 4x2 around just to rub the boxster driving next door neighbours nose in it....

seriously though the P1 is calling but on balance would rather mod the wagon...

edited to say...hmm red bull and meths..my favorite tipple when selling the big issue!!

Keep the Q car bit, that's the best bit about it. Well, my P1 has the Leda and the Alcons - Take u for a ride sometime. The great thing with the wagon is they are a bit more adjustable on the rear end so read "more interesting" Ask Sideaways.. The leda helps a lot but it's still there - hammer into a bend and then feather the throttle to adjust the rear end - back off completely to tighten the front end into the bend...great stuff.

Bigger brakes, well, you will not regret..awesome..like adding 50+bhp easily, no kidding.

Remember this guy in a Cosworth on the by-pass - He did me in my old wagon on the straight.. braked about 100yds late than him on the roundabout..straight through, slowed to let him come alongside and we he gave us the thumbs up...respect.. It's not all about power.
