View Full Version : SW Police training
SteveB 24 October 2002, 19:55 For your info,
Just fired another e-mail to my contact at the A&S traffic division regarding the assessed drives we talked about before the summer.
Will let everyone know what response I get.
Here's hoping we can still do this.
Steve.
Sue Sidal 24 October 2002, 20:10 Consorting with the enemy eh? You'll be daubed with a cross and get your head shaved if you're not careful.
JFB 24 October 2002, 20:13 Excellent Steve, keep us posted!
Jerome
SteveB 24 October 2002, 20:24 Jerome,

TAZMAN 24 October 2002, 21:32 Steve,
sounds interesting..as I waasnt a scooby net addict thne can you give me a quick overview??
Sue..so thats what those signs are on you!!!
SteveB 25 October 2002, 00:46 Dave,
Well it goes like this,
As the Sw regional organaiser. I tried to arrange a varied range of activities for the said local gathering. We arranged through our Traffic police unit, some very good training at our local dealers, a session on observation and danger awareness. This was going to be follwed up by some assessed drives. This would involve a traffic instructor coing with agroup of three Scoob owners(we'd each take a turn to drive our own cars) on varied roads and give us a briefing afterwards.
Could have been very useful me thinks.
Hopefully we can resurrect.
Steve.
Sideways 25 October 2002, 07:09 Well thats my licence out the bloody window then ;), and yours Steve come to that.

SteveB 26 October 2002, 00:46 Yeh,
I've seen turbo drive and he is Sh*te!
There again, Simon, don't think you've joined us on a MANS Exmoor - You have been known to do a "Babber" on us and find "All the excusses under the sun" ? come on, come clean ?
Do rememnber you coming with us and getting left behind "very easily" me thinks...
Like going round corners, but not fast on the straights was the excuse I think ?
Any comment
Steve.
The_Max STi 26 October 2002, 00:57 Oh Fighting talk!! Good job we all know each other!!! :D:D:D:D
Sue Sidal 26 October 2002, 08:45 Sounds like a great idea...... Taz, the head shave WAS enforced but only due to pilot error on the first attack. That wasn't a daubing, I just hadn't put my lipstick on properly. 'ere Steve, who's your contact at the Traffic unit?
SteveB 26 October 2002, 09:21 Jackie Harris and Paul Wilkinson plus met the boss at Almondsbury - Inspector Paul Breed. All very nice people.
