Question

I have a Godspeed 335mm conversion on my MY01. I have had to remove the springs on the back of the caliper as they were fouling the wheels. They've been like that for 500miles and a track day and as far as I can tell, neither the pads nor the discs are showing any ill effects.

Can anyone comment on this?

Thanks

Steve

I ran mine without them for while and I think their main funtion is to hold the pads in tightly to avoid rattling. But it isn't the end of the world if you haven't got them in. You may get a rattle later on as the pads wear down. Just my uneducated view!

Steve, they should cause no problem as I ran mine with no spring on one side until the dealer supplied it. All I did was to lock wire the pins just in case the pads caused anything to vibrate out.

Steve , I have replied to the email you sent me , but if you bend the spring slightly it clears the wheels , it only happens on a few wheels , most of them clear , the only minus point of not running them is the pads may rattle , Cheers Ian
