In the mean time here are a couple of pictures to wet your appetite. Kind Regards Tony SCC PERFORMANCE http://upload.turbosport.co.uk/getpic2.asp?File=2002114144921629863.JPG http://upload.turbosport.co.uk/getpic2.asp?File=2002114145225295650.JPG DanTheMan 04 November 2002, 16:22 Well put me down as a definate then Mike cheers Dan Gridlock Mikey 04 November 2002, 18:16 So that's: Me Dan Anymore for a bit of a laff for £80 notes instead of 100 :D The more the merrier I say ;) Mikey  Brun 04 November 2002, 19:43 Tough to fit? How visible is the plug? Would the boys in blue have any issues with it? M0NEY 04 November 2002, 22:32 Yeah i will be up for it. Depends how hard it is to fit yourself? Brun 05 November 2002, 09:58 Anybody, live within spitting distance of Wetherby who has a flamer fitted? I'd love to see one in the flesh? jmca 05 November 2002, 11:47 Actually does look interesting! Anyone already installed one or are they easy to install - from the site I assume you have to bore into the back box. [Tony from SCC] - Are they hard to fit DIY & what are the recommendations to do so? Regards Johny. Gridlock Mikey 05 November 2002, 15:00 Hello again peeps :D OK I've spoken to Tony and the following Info was gleaned: 1) The kit comes complete with full fitting instructions 2) The hardest part is getting a boss welded into the tailpipe. This boss essentially provides the spark plug with something to engage it's thread into and also provides the earthing point. The boss is INCLUDED in the kit. 3) With the exhaust done (Boss welded in place) is should take no more than 45 mins to fit (Dependent on how thorough you are with the wiring) As regards to how the Law look at these things  i don't know but more importantly and, i think, significantly, coppers don't know either. I called 4 stations, a traffic department (As it used to be) and even tried DVLA (DLVC). No one knew  To that end, i suppose it's a case of using it sensibly i.e NOT when there's a copper right behind you or outside schools or anywhere that the Anti-Fun lobby can have a go. There are plenty of places where fun can be had ,Scoob meets, country lanes at night, tail gaiters, Cruisin', etc. and because it's switchable, it means that YOU are in control of it and as such, if you get pulled by the coppers, it's probably gonna be your fault!! Has that concept ever made someone NOT buy a decatted exhaust i wonder ;) Now they ARE illegal but life goes on :D:D Hope that cleared a few issues up, Who else want's one :D? Mikey  Gridlock Mikey 05 November 2002, 15:16 LIST SOFAR :D 1) Me 2) MONEY 3) Dan the man 4) SIWRX 5) Hol 6) Jonny Gav 7) Stevenuk300 8) Andy Porter Nearly there :D C'mon dudes, 800 views and 8 takers :( is that because: 1) Still too expensive 2) A step too far 3) Lack of understanding regarding the product (Seriously) I know flames out of a scoob is a cool thing, i remember starting a HUGE thread about the quest for flames and discovered that after noise and power, flames were the next most poular reason to go fully decatted. I personally was not that impressed with the flaming ability of my car. Loads of pops, bangs hisses etc but the flames were random and only after the car had been "spirited" along (or i'd accidentally hit the rev limiter  ) I can't wait for the option to turn them on or off :D De-cat Random flames, Induction kit random flames, VTA dump valve random flames, Lots of dosh random flames. I figure that another £80 isn't gonna kill me and when i'm bored.........sell it :D and get the hole welded shut :D Mikey  Brun 05 November 2002, 17:39 I'm still a whole lot of sceptical when it comes to putting a hole in my lovely Magnex. Is there any videos of the product in action on a Scoob? Wanna see before i buy. M0NEY 06 November 2002, 09:43 well said Gridlock Mikey! jonny gav 06 November 2002, 13:42 c'mon guys, £80 for a flame thrower is well worth it :D also a good anti-car jacking tool, set fire to the car that's chasing ya :D :D :D BaldyMan 06 November 2002, 13:59 these things look sooooo coooooool :D would it work on a SPORT :D M0NEY 06 November 2002, 14:25 how many people do we need to get them at £80? stevenuk300 06 November 2002, 14:33 How much fully fitted?
