For your info, if anyone wants to marshall at the Rally GB you have to be a registered marshal on the MSA/FIA register. Gone are the days of just turning up and offering your services im afraid :(

The 2003 Wales Rally GB will again utilise only the services of marshals who are registered with the MSA marshals registration and grading scheme. There is a good definition of this at http://www.rallymarshal.co.uk/information.asp?id=5.

There are 2 staffing officers this year - full details to be announced shortly.

Erm... the middle one I think. Grade 2?

Haven't really bothered to upgrade or whatever you do. But I have been chief marshal on oone of our clubs events, and I am safety officer for the next rally we are running in September. As well as being you common or garden bib wearing marshal on a few events.

James... I wouldnt have said your common at all... maybe garden but never common ;)

To answer the post.. grade 1

BTW - I now believe that grandfather rights for the Marshals Registration has now ended and therefore anyone registering now has to enter the scheme at grade 3 and work upwards (as should have happened in the first place IMHO).

Incidently, the letter says to read the instructions on how to look after it. Erm... where are they?!

It would have been nice if the MSA would accept licences from other ASN's...
FIA drivers licences are valid everywhere, but marshals licences only in the country of issue; strange isn't it
