Cool

According to this site, www.performancesubaru.co.uk Prodrive PD7,s are available in Gold, Anthracite and Silver. I looked at those wheels as replacement for the 16" wheels on my MY00. I settled for P1 Anthracite,s in the end.

They'll fit no problem, the difference in quality of finish is the Speedlines have a lacquer type gloss finish that cleans really easily and the OZ P1 wheels have a matt type finish that doesn't. Yes, i've tried both.

Go for the Speedlines, much better.

Cheers

i have been considering getting some of these 17" wheels in gold for a while now (DBM MY99)
and after going on this site for the first time in ages, look what was mentioned?

your views have made up my mind.

any ideas where i could get a set from within the midlands-ish area?
scoobymania have not come back to me yet, but any help would be much appreciated.
prices too and if they can do tyres as well

cheers

When I bought mine a few years ago for my old wagon, the cheapest worked out to be the local dealer after getting the SIDC 10% discount.

Thumbs up

PD7 update

My new wheels are now in position on the car and I am very pleased with the final results.

I thought it was worth mentioning the good service I have received (as it’s always good to know)

I must thank:

Wendy Thompson – Scoobyworld for her prompt service on getting me 4x Toyo Proxies sent out so quickly
(tyres ordered on the Friday and arrived at work on the Monday)

And

Jonathan of PerformanceSubaru for sorting me out a set of PD7 Gold Wheels at a better price than quoted at 2 main dealers
(1 week in total from order to delivery)

And

Wheelmania for fitting the tyres & balancing - £20 all in
although I did get some new wheel nuts (£20) as the standard ones looked like they could dig in if put on with force and also looked a little too small – new ones set it off better.

Regards,

Ps. when I get hold of a digi camera I will attempt a photo?
Pps. There will be 4x16” standard rims going for sale soon?

Wink

Had my PD7's for about 2 years now it was the first mod i did to my MY00 turbo i think they look great, better in fact when they are on the car than they do when they are in the box

My scoob came with them on (2nd hand MY00 DBM with PD7's in Gold). Must say they really suit the car and look a lot better in the flesh than in pics I had seen. I was looking at getting some better rims until I actually saw them.

Standard Pirelli 205/45/17 rubber is pants. Just swapped to 215/40/17 Toyos and bags more grip. Plus the extra rubber protects your wheels a lot more even if they dont look as good as the Pirellis (but the tread looks mean).

Ive had to replace one before due to me hitting a kerb in a bad way. Was £175 from a dealer. What kind of prices did you guys pay??

Simon.

I must admit – I love em

I had not even taken the shine off the Toyo’s and was totally impressed
A smaller tyre wall has much improved the whole ride/cornering and the grip isn’t bad either

I was quoted the same from a dealer

saved about £50 going else where

cheers
