Getting a Stop Tech system for my 1999 STi V, but there is a query from them on the brake pipe mounting -

"Do you know if your front lines are held in place with a clip or a bolt? The Front line kit shipped with your Brake Kit has the line locator that takes a bolt, but could be held in place with a ty wrap if your vehicle takes a clip. Not quite as elegant, but still very workable"

Any ideas chaps? Thanks

This is from memory, as I haven't looked for a while...

The pipe is held onto the strut with a clip, and the pipe bolts onto the caliper.

Hope this is what you wanted to know.

I asume they mean how it's held to the strut.

I passes throught a hole in the bracket and there's a sort of spring clip that holds it in place

Yes - I forgot about the hole bit. Going to make changing my struts more difficult now.

Dyney - congratulations on turning blue. Guess Scoobynet has really become a religion for you now

BTW I've got my clutch sorted out now. Fitted for £100 Car is much happier now...
