Fast_Blue_Scooby 09 October 2002, 19:27 After much negotiation with Paul from TSL Motorsport, I have managed to sort out an excellent group buy on the above spoiler.
Now normally these spoilers retail at £293.75 plus the postage of £22.26 which is a total of £316.01.
Now Paul at TSL is happy to sell these spoilers for the reduced price of £265 and that includes vat, postage and delivered to your door. That is a superb saving of £51.01.
The spoilers are exactly the same as the last group buy, you can see the pictures of the spoiler in that thread. Everyone was pleased with their purchase and it is a super looking spoiler. This group buy will deliver the spoiler unpainted to your home, then you can get it painted at your own cost at your local body shop.
However Paul and TSL don't want the hassle associated with such a group buy so I have kindly offered to sort it all out 100%. This is the main reason why Paul has allowed there to be a 2nd group buy so we will have to be quick to take advantage of this kind offer.
What I need is 9 people to email me or post a reply to this thread that they are 100% interested in taking up this great offer! I expect this group buy to be snapped up so I would get your name down early to avoid disappointment. The first 9 to reply will secure.
I will collect all payments and once Paul is ready to dispatch the spoilers at TSL, I will send him a cheque to cover the whole lot. They will then be delivered to your address that you give me. Don't forget the condition of this discounted group buy is that Paul and TSL don't get any calls or hassles SO PLEASE CONTACT ME ONLY. I WILL DEAL WITH ANY QUESTIONS ETC
Paul from TSL will backup what I have said by replying to this thread. So all that remains is for the first 9 people to get their names down if they want to get a great spoiler at a greatly reduced price.
Thanks.
CataIunya 09 October 2002, 21:13 Don't want P*ss on anybodys chips not affiliated YADA YADA YADA but drmotorsport are doing these painted for £350.....
Fast_Blue_Scooby 09 October 2002, 21:54 This was mentioned the first time JonW organised the first group buy. And apologies for quoting JonW but this is his reply:
"As for the DR motorsport unit, I agree its a very cheap price and I have mentioned this to TSL and other retailers when I was looking into this and everyone advised me to look at the whole picture, ie spoiler quality, fit, paint quality, longevity and company profile.
I dont want to diss any company or their products but in my looking round I decided to go with TSL because they offer a solid quailty product (as evidenced by lots of people on this board), the unit is very close in size/shape to the original STi5 and most people couldnt tell the difference, they offer these units ready to ship immediatly as they have them in stock, they will paint and fit them if we desire, ive never heard of a fitting or cracking problem with this unit, they have been in scooby circles for some time and have a reputation to uphold, the unit price on its own i believed to be very attractive - you could flat it and do it with cans and have it on your car for less than 275 if you wanted...
From my own point of view I reckon that sometimes its better to get a better deal on expensive, recomended kit than just go for the cheapest."
There were 10 happy people who took part in the first group buy, I am sure there will be 10 more with this.
Over to you folks....
CataIunya 10 October 2002, 08:56 Have we actually had any bad reports fromn DRmotorsport ?
I am shopping around for a new spoiler at the mo you see.

ChristianR 10 October 2002, 20:04 must be cold, your exhaust has shrunk!!
lee mclaughlan 10 October 2002, 22:01 I'am very interested in the spoiler but will not be ready to buy until the end of the month (thats when i get payed) so if you can wait until then,i will have one please..???
how long will it take to sort out the group buy..?
how many have gone already.?
LEE MAC
Fast_Blue_Scooby 10 October 2002, 22:27 2 so far have expressed an interest.
I was hoping to get these spoilers sorted ASAP.
However I am sure we can sort something out for you to pay me at the end of the month, ie post dated cheque.
Just a matter of waiting for some more people to state a definite interest.....
joop! 10 October 2002, 22:46 i had one from dr motorsport no probs at all well pleased
just up to you
they do look the bo**o*ks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ScoobyTal 11 October 2002, 16:02 may be interested about what will it cost to get painted ?
Fast_Blue_Scooby 11 October 2002, 18:41 They will come unpainted from TSL, so it is up to you to get a quote from your local bodyshop. I have been quoted around £130 to get mine done.
Fast_Blue_Scooby 11 October 2002, 19:35 Come on everyone these are top quality spoilers PLUS not only are you getting them at a much reduced price BUT this is what Paul at TSL has said:
"tell you what.... i'm that confident of the quality of the spoiler in it's unpainted form.... If you buy one when they are back in stock in a week or two.. you can not only send it back at my expense for a full refund but I will even buy you lunch if you pop in and see us!! .. seriously.
In all honesty not all the aftermerket spoilers we sell are this quality "out of the box".. but these are quite beautifully made. happy to offer a no quibble money back offer for that very reason. We have never had one back yet"
So come on get your names down, email me and we'll get these spoilers ordered from TSL. You know it makes sense, fit the best!!
Ru$$Rip 16 October 2002, 09:27 Can someone confirm that this is for the 'classic' and NOT for the New-age?
Cheers
alcazar 17 October 2002, 00:16 Trouser's car is a classic, in every sense of the word!!!
Alcazar
R.B.5 17 October 2002, 08:41 Can i still get one or is the group buy gone ?
Fast_Blue_Scooby 17 October 2002, 12:04 Still on, but I need 10 definites!!!
scoobynutta555 17 October 2002, 19:23 thats a good price, when i got a replica the cheapest i could get was over £500 not painted, that was 3 years ago though
JonW 18 October 2002, 17:36 Since Im getting quoted I thought i'd better give my blessing to the use of the words.... :-)
This spoiler is a really great bit of kit and I do love mine, sure its not the cheapest one on the market but im sure you'll be chuffed with it if you buy one, I know I am and all those who took part in the last group buy seemed to be very happy with theirs.
Fair play for setting this group buy up and taking it on 100%. Paul and I split it last time and it nearly killed us both... ;-) Seriously tho its hassle but worth it when people start posting pix of their car with the spoiler fitted...
Good luck! Jon.
alcazar 18 October 2002, 21:57 My problem is that I've shown photos of the spoiler to several sprayshops, and can't get ANYONE to quote under £200 to spray it!
No way Jose.
Alcazar
IanW 19 October 2002, 01:37 I had an STi V Spoiler painted for £85 in Deep Blue Mica!
Fast_Blue_Scooby 19 October 2002, 10:40 I've been quoted around £120!!
alcazar 19 October 2002, 10:53 EEEK! and double EEEEK! Where?
I think the sprayshops that quoted me must have been owned by that well known British company: "Senior-Cummin".
:D: Alcazar
Gridlock Mikey 24 October 2002, 16:03 Just to help you along :D Had mine about 10 months now and all is well ;) I just wish that there was a group buy going on when i got mine :(
The prices being spoken about here for this level of quality are amazing :D
Check it out (apologies for the filthy car (sets the nice new clean spoiler off well i think ;) )
