Jodster,
Do you consider Rossi retiring with tyre failure to be a Max victory then? I think what they meant is that Ukawa was the only person to beat Rossi to the flag all season....
I can't see Suzuki switching to a V5 with the V4 still under developement. They haven't got the time surely? They are stuck with it (IMHO) for at least the next season!
Matt :)

Keith Heuwan and Julian Ryder on Sky Sports doing World Supers a few years back was the best bike commentary team.
Since ITV Digital died I have to settle for Channel 5 which is a shame as the Eurosport boys do a pretty good job.
The Channel 5 commentary team should be able to remember a Yamaha victory even if it was just for the fact that Rossi had a Michelin fail on him. And history will show that Max won that race not that Rossi's tyre broke up.

Anyone see this yesterday? As I predicted (and got excited about ;) ) in http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?threadid=136507, the new RCV's dished out to other teams is making for fantastic racing.
It's a shame that Max and Kato had to retire (and that the Kwaker didn't finish either (but it looks  )) but it's looking pretty good for next year when you add some more M1's, even more RCV's and the Ducati's...... I can't wait :D:D:D

I just wish the commentary was better. They repeatedly said that only Ukawa had beaten Rossi this year and that Honda had dominated every round. Yeah, except for the one where Biaggi won on the Yamaha. Idiots. I was especially disappointed that Rob Mac didn't know, considering he runs a Yamaha team!

The West Honda team boys were brilliant! Capirossi is my ride of the year so far (apart from Checa in Brazil until he fell off :(), and as for Barros - much respect! :)
As for Suzuki, I thought they were gonna ditch the V4 for a V5 next year. IMHO if Kenny Roberts got a decent bike then he could well and truly give Rossi a run for his money. One thing's for sure, next year is going to be amazing viewing.:D

Mutant Matt
I think Suba menat Kenny Roberts senior (Team KR Proton) have had a V5 in development BEFORE Honda showed theirs.
Jodster
IMHO the best commentary team for GP1 is Toby Moody, Julian Ryder and Randy Mamola on British Eurosport. Like Murray was to F1, but without the constant F ups!

Like Murray was to F1, but without the constant F ups!Wholeheartedly agree - I think they are a fantastic team and they all know what they're talking about and are obviously passionate about the sport. It just pi$$es on F1 from a great height ;):):D
