View Full Version : Congratulations - Colin Edwards uncle buck 29 September 2002, 15:16 What a last lap!! :D:D wow...!! :D Corpulent Tosser 29 September 2002, 15:42 Brilliant ! Pity Xaus couldn't quite match the pace, that would have made it even better. drumsterphil 29 September 2002, 16:23 Couldn't agree more! Edwards - what a star!! (Oh, for him to be going MotoGp next year ) Sheepsplitter 29 September 2002, 17:54 .......and what a pleasure it was to see the way Bayliss accepted 2nd. A bit different to watching old grumpy guts (sorry Foggy) taking 2nd!! Awesome 2nd race though, almost a shame you can't have 2 winners. GreenMachine 29 September 2002, 22:39 Probably the best WSB race I have ever seen! Shouting at the telly on the last lap, heart rate way up, wife chewing my fingernails (typical  ) ;) Some overtaking manoeuvres that defied both physics and belief - how neither of them fell off is a mystery. On the telly you could even hear the crowd going "oooh!" on the last lap! Richly desrved championship for Edwards, despite a gutsy performance from Bayliss. ukhuskynox 29 September 2002, 22:57 Yep two awesome races ! Mike Tuckwood 29 September 2002, 23:35 You'd be hard pushed to tell one race from the other. Absolutely spell bound. Bayliss was unlucky he REALLY couldn't have tried any harder. Pity F1 is so poor in comparison. Mike. mutant_matt 30 September 2002, 07:46 Fantastic stuff!!!!!! It's a nice change for something other than a Ducati to win too ;):):D The thing I hate about this time of year is that all the motorsport is almost finished :(:(:( At least there are still 4 rounds of MotoGP to go :D:D:D:D:D Matt :) P.S. I think MotoGP is gonna ROCK next year!!!! :D:D:D [Edited by mutant_matt - 9/30/2002 7:47:04 AM] DMB 30 September 2002, 11:47 Shame they both couldn't win, fantastic entertainment all year. Well done Colin :D Dazzler 30 September 2002, 12:20 Oh bugger ! I missed it watching the golf. Oh well, I suppose it was worth it. Anyone know if it's gonna be shown again ? RiMo 30 September 2002, 12:24 Second race was absolutely feckin' breath-taking. Them boys have got balls!! Sheepsplitter 30 September 2002, 13:14 Dazzler, I have it on tape if they don't replay it and you want to borrow it. You don't seem too far away. I would want it back for the collection though. uncle buck 30 September 2002, 13:18 I have it on tape too - bizzarely I live just outside Woking too. :) Sheep what scoob/bike do you have? I'll keep my eye out for you :D:D Sheepsplitter 30 September 2002, 13:25 uncle buck: I have a black WRXSTI4 and a GSXR1000 (Red/Blue/White Spyke leathers and a Doohan rep Arai). uncle buck 30 September 2002, 14:06 You might see me charging around on this: http://upload.turbosport.co.uk/getpic.asp?File=200293014222107174.jpg or in this: http://upload.turbosport.co.uk/getpic.asp?File=200293014326355709.jpg your WRX doesn't have a front mounted intercooler does it? UB Sheepsplitter 30 September 2002, 14:15 Nice. I will keep an eye out for you. No I don't have a FMI. Cheeky Jim 01 October 2002, 09:49 Your Cat seems to have a comfy seat!!! Our cats do a runner the second they see my bike...something to do with them not liking the rather noisy end can!! Jim :D ariel 01 October 2002, 21:48 I loved it too. As someone else said what a comparison to the shoddy effort from F1! Showed that up to be he pile o crap it is. And I watched both LOL. caz1562 02 October 2002, 04:35 What an end of season race. It was amazing that Edwards didn't take it easy in race 2 and settle for 2nd, he wanted the 9 in a row race wins. The fact that both Bayliss & Edwards battled out fair & square for 2 races and at the end of the day, the best man won :D It would have been a shame to have someone win the title with the other crashing/having mechanical failure. Hats off to the Texan Tornado.............:D:D:D:D:D |
