John NotoriousREV 27 September 2002, 19:03 They got slated by a lot of magazines for not being a Ducati and for being very unreliable. Have you seen one up close? I saw one in DK Motorcycles in Stoke and thought it looked like a dogs dinner, some very dodgy welds on the frame and swingarm. Never ridden one though, so I couldn't give you an honest answer, only hearsay ;) Corpulent Tosser 27 September 2002, 19:52 A m8 of mine has one it handles great, has great brakes, sounds great, but thee engine needs revved hard to get the best out of it. I haven't noticed any dodgier welding than most bikes, in fact the component parts of this bike (except the engine) are first class. Word of warning though, a 10mph spill on ice in january didn't cause very much damage, but the bike just went back on the road last week - getting spares is NOT easy. Having said that, I think it is a better bike than a 900SS Ducati, and would have one if it was cheap enough. Engine as reliable as a secondhand hand grenade. |
